ARTgarita – The Art of the Margarita

Join us Friday, October 15, 2010 at ArtSpace (750 Center Street, Herndon VA. Tickets are $25 each and include two margaritas (or your choice of Guinness or wine) and sumptuous food from local restaurants.  Participating restaurants to feature their signature margarita at their restaurants the week before. Spend some time at ArtSpace viewing the Expressions Portrait Competition entries.  Tickets may be purchased on our web site with credit cards or by a check mailed to CAH P.O. CAH and Folk Club of Herndon-Reston Arts Week Concert - Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Council for the Arts of Herndon and the Folk Club of Herndon-Reston invites you to join us for an Arts Week Concert on Tuesday October 13, 2010 at the Tortilla Factory Restaurant in Herndon.  This year our special artists will hail from Nashville - singers/songwriters ,"Alt-Nashville Writers in the Round"- Don Henry, Sally Barris and Craig Carothers.  Cost is $16 for non-members and $15 for members of the Folk Club.

CAH sponsors concerts at the Herndon Senior Center

CAH will be sponsoring concerts at the Herndon Senior Center throughout the year.  The first concert will be September 24, 2010 at 1pm with Matt Commerce.  Matt is a Virginia-born singer/songwriter who recorded his debut EP "Closer Than You Realize" in 2008. His style blends acoustic folk rock with a tropical twist.

2010 SAIC Tech Arts Award Winners

The Council for the Arts awards congratulates all of the Fairfax County Schools students that participated in the 6th Annual Tech Arts competition for their fine work. The Council would like to extend a special thanks to Tamra Ferreira and Aaron Stratten, Art Instructional Specialists for Fairfax County Public Schools, to the Fairfax County School Board and to the wonderful art teachers in our schools.
